it's possible your hbc is upside down
cios38 not modified

you won't brick just because you reinstall another ios 60 (since it's not a stub)
you normally shouldn't have any issues with the preloader, but otherwise you know what to do if it doesn't work!!! (reinstall it)

careful baordeur, it's precisely installing a stub ios (ios60 for firmware 4.0 and 4.1) that causes bricking. Well maybe that's what you meant but that's not what I understood

if so it's because it's not compatible
