[OUTDATED] Update your Mii Channel!

Tutorial improved by Tgames on 12/27/08. Here's a little tutorial explaining how to update your Mii channel without fully updating your Wii.

IMPORTANT: Neither I nor the Tgames forum can be held responsible for any problems resulting from the use of this tutorial. So be aware that you use it at your own risk.


IMPORTANT: Remove all peripherals from your Wii during installation, that is: Controller, DVD, Memory card, USB peripherals etc... (No need to remove the SD card).

PS: The Miis are not deleted and will automatically be available after updating your Mii Channel.


Required materials:

- A Wii on a version lower than 3.3V2.
- An internet connection on your Wii.
- An SD card.
- The homebrew channel. (See HERE to install it)
- A way to read your SD card via your computer.
- The pack to download.


The pack contains: (Download the ready to use pack:Pack Ready To Use By Wantose.rar - 0.39MB )


- Mii Channel Updater Rev02



I) Preparing the SD card

- Put your SD card in your computer.
- Copy/paste the folder: "Mii Updater" into the "apps" folder of your SD card.

II) Installing the Mii Updater

- Put your SD card in your Wii.

Image unavailable (removed by its host)
- Turn on your Wii then go to the homebrew channel.

- Launch "Mii Updater Rev2".
- Follow the instructions.


III) (Optional) Deleting unnecessary files on the SD card.

- Put your SD card in your computer.
- Delete the folder "Mii Channel Updater Rev02".


You now have the latest Mii channel available for the time being.

Amélioration du tutoriel par Tgames le 27/12/08. Voici un petit tutoriel vous expliquant comment mettre à jour votre chaîne Mii sans mettre entièrement sa Wii à jour.

IMPORTANT : Ni moi ni le forum Tgames ne pourront être tenus responsables des problèmes résultant de l'utilisation de ce tutoriel. Sachez donc que vous l'utilisez à vos risques et périls.


IMPORTANT : Enlevez tout les périphériques sur votre Wii pendant l'installation, c'est à dire : Manette, DVD, Carte mémoire , périphériques USB etc ... (Pas besoin d'enlever la carte SD).

PS : Les Mii ne sont pas supprimés et seront automatiquement disponibles après la mise à jour de votre Chaîne Mii.

- Une carte SD.

- Un moyen de lire votre carte SD via votre ordinateur.
- Le pack à télécharger.

I) Préparation de la carte SD

- Mettez votre carte SD dans votre ordinateur.
- Copiez/collez le dossier : "Mii Updater" dans le dossier "apps" de votre carte SD.

II) Installation du Mii Updater

- Mettez votre carte SD dans votre Wii.


- Allumez votre Wii puis allez dans la chaîne homebrew.


- Lancez "Mii Updater Rev2".
- Suivez les instructions.


III) (Facultatif) Suppression des fichiers inutiles sur la carte SD.

- Mettez votre carte SD dans votre ordinateur.
- Supprimez le dossier "Mii Channel Updater Rev02".


Vous avez maintenant la dernière chaîne Mii disponible pour le moment.

The difference between 3.2 and 3.3 isn't obvious!

But the homebrew is directly connected to Nintendo.

So actually for every update you can do this tutorial.

But if for example there's a new Mii channel coming out on 3.4 and that update blocks the hack and you want to stay on 3.3 to be able to enjoy the hack. It's useful.
