Launch a channel other than the Homebrew Channel

Create a channel.txt file in the WiiHome folder. In the file, write the first digit:

* 1 for a title starting with 00010001
* 2 for a title starting with 00010002
* 4 for a title starting with 00010004
* 8 for a title starting with 00010008

Then, write the title in letters (for example for the Wii Shop Channel the title is HABA) So, for the Wii Shop Channel the file must contain 2HABA since the full title in hexadecimal is 0001000248414241. 00010002 is replaced by 2 and 48414241 is HABA in hexadecimal.

However I didn't understand anything about creating channel.txt

il y a des new de cashman pour WiiHome 1.4

Lancer une autre chaîne que la Chaîne Homebrew

Créez un fichier channel.txt dans le dossier WiiHome. Dans le fichier, écrivez le premier chiffre :

* 1 pour un title commençant par 00010001
* 2 pour un title commençant par 00010002
* 4 pour un title commençant par 00010004
* 8 pour un title commençant par 00010008

Ensuite, écrivez le title en lettres (par exemple pour la Chaîne Boutique Wii le title est HABA) Donc, pour la Chaîne Boutique Wii le fichier doit contenir 2HABA puisque le title complet en héxadecimal est 0001000248414241. 00010002 est remplacé par 2 et 48414241 est HABA en héxadecimal.

well no it's not complicated but it's just that some people don't know hexadecimal like the back of their hand lol yet they should!! like binary

bah non c'est pas compliquer mais c'est juste qu'il y en a qui ne connaisse pas l' hexadécimal sur le bout des doigt lol pourtant il devrait!! comme le binaire

well for wiiflow for example it's 1WSNF so in a channel.txt file I write "1WSNF" but then where do I put this channel.txt file? I tried in the wiihome folder at the root of the sd but then in wiihome I did (1) and nothing happens?

ben pour wiiflow par exemple c'est 1WSNF donc dans un fichier channel.txt j'écris "1WSNF" mais après ce fichier channel.txt je le met où? j'ai essayer dans le dossier wiihome a la racine de la sd mais après dans wiihome j'ai fait (1) et rien ne se passe?

@gonzalo51: It must not be placed quite right, your file. Careful it shouldn't be channel.txt.txt like a lot of people do.

Well that must be it then or my channel.txt isn't right... I do have a "channel.txt" because I can see the extensions on my pc.
