IMPOSSIBLE to launch Hitman Absolution on JTAG!

Hi everyone,

I'm desperate because of this game!

here's the situation:

I have a JTAG / Kernel 16203 / FSD rev735 / DashLaunch v3.07.
So far so good...

I have the game Hitman Absolution, ORIGINAL, and impossible to launch it.

When I put the disc in the drive, it's recognized fine via the NXE, I launch it, black screen.
When I try to launch the disc via FSD: black screen then: Fatal crash intercepted.

So I tested two different releases, and I tried several things:
ISO extracted with Xbox Image Browser, black screen.
ISO converted to GOD with ISO2GOD, the GOD isn't detected by the NXE, it is by FSD, I see the cover, but when I press A, it doesn't launch and I stay on FSD... When I try to launch the GOD through the file explorer, same problem, it doesn't start and I stay on FSD.

With XeXmenu, same symptoms.

I tried uninstalling DashLaunch, and launching the games without DashLaunch, same problem.
I tried disabling DashLaunch, and launching the game's xex via DashLaunch itself: black screen.

I tried uninstalling DashLaunch, recreating a NAND with J-Runner WITHOUT DashLaunch, same problem.

So there you go I don't get it at all... I think I've tried almost everything.
I can't reflash a Retail NAND with a high kernel, because otherwise I wouldn't be able to JTAG the box anymore.

Do you have any other ideas?

J'ai le jeu Hitman Absolution, en ORIGINAL, et impossible de le lancer.

Quand je met la galette dans le lecteur, il est bien reconnu via le NXE, je le lance, écran noir.
Quand je tente de lancer la galette via FSD : écran noir puis : Fatal crash intercepted.

J'ai donc testé deux releases différentes, et j'ai tenté plusieurs choses :
ISO extraite avec Xbox Image Browser, écran noir.
ISO transformée en GOD avec ISO2GOD, le GOD n'est pas détecté par le NXE, il l'est par FSD, je vois la jaquette, mais quand j'appuie sur A, il ne se lance par et je reste sur FSD... Quand j'essaye de lancer le GOD par l'explorateur de fichiers, même problème, il ne démarre pas et je reste sur FSD.

Avec XeXmenu, même symptômes.

J'ai tenté de désinstaller DashLaunch, et de lancer les jeux sans DashLaunch, même problème.

Donc voilà là j'y comprends rien... Je pense avoir quasiment tout tenté.
Je ne peux pas reflasher une NAND Retail avec un kernel haut, car sinon je pourrais plus JTAG la box.

Avez-vous d'autres idées ?

I'm the only one with this problem. It will definitely work on your RGH.

Il n'y a que moi qui ait ce problème. Il fonctionnera à coup sûr sur ta RGH.

Ah I'd be inclined to say... clear your cache and format your hdd but even if I say it half-jokingly, it's a path worth exploring.

Ah J'aurais tendance à dire... vide ton cache et formate ton hdd mais même si je le dis un peu sur le ton de la plaisanterie, c'est une piste à explorer.

Yep, I'm going to try a clean install of FSD, even though it's already clean ^^

The thing is, even if FSD were acting up, the ORIGINAL game should still launch. I'm going to try launching the original game via the NXE, having disconnected the HDDs. If that's it, I'll format the partition where FSD is, and reinstall everything cleanly.

Ouaip, je vais tenter de faire une install clean de FSD, même si elle est déjà clean ^^

Le fait est que meme si FSD déconnait, le jeu ORIGINAL devrait quand meme se lancer. Je vais tenter de lancer le jeu original via le NXE, en ayant déconnecté les HDD. Si c'est ça, je formate la partition ou il y a FSD, et je réinstalle tout au propre.

hi tamule. yeah quite a few people have issues. but at least they manage to launch it lol.

salut tamule. ouai y a pas mal de gens qui ont des soucis. mais eux au moins ils arrivent à le lancer lol.

have you tried with Extract-xiso_GUI 1.0.0.7? although I'm leaning more towards a hardware or flash problem

I started the box without the HDD, to boot into the NXE, I launch the original dvd, fatal crash intercepted

I have that too with an original copy of fable (xbox game) but that's not about the state of the dvd

j'ai ça aussi avec un original de fable (jeu xbox) mais v'là pas l'état du dvd

a scratched disc happens, but this one is like new, and neither original nor extracted backup, nor GOD works...

disque rayé ça arrive, mais là il est comme neuf, et ni original ni backup extrait, ni GOD ne passe...

I don't know everything but I'm thinking of 2 things.

a nand flash problem (bad block or something like that)

or

a problem with a sector or a corrupted file on your hdd. not necessarily/only the raw game data. Isn't there also, on the first launch of the game, a file that gets created somewhere. A file linked to the game's ID that wouldn't necessarily get erased when uninstalling the game. (pure hypothesis)

have you tried several releases... even one in another language?

worth checking:
- look for a plugin named xbdm. make a backup, remove it and test again.
- try with an hdd or an external usb key; plugged into the front, right-hand port
- in hdd1. do you have the update system folder?
- is the dash up to date? Avatars too?

j'ai testé hier soir rapidement et ça fonctionne. Dommage j'aurais cherché aussi de mon côté

je n'ai pas la science infuse mais je pense à 2 choses.

un problème de flash de la nand (bad block ou autre truc du genre)

ou

un problème de secteur ou fichier défectueux sur ton hdd. pas forcement/seulement les données brute du jeux. N'y a t il pas aussi, au premier lancement du jeu un fichier qui se crée quelque part. Fichier lié à l'ID du jeux et qui ne s'effacerais pas forcement en désinstallant le jeux. (pure hypothèse)

tu as essayé plusieurs releases... même celle d'autre langue?

a voir :
- cherche un plugin nommé xbdm. fait une sauvegarde, supprime le et teste de nouveau.
- essaye avec un hdd ou une clé usb externe; branché sur la face avant, port de droite
- dans hdd1. as tu le dossier update system?
- le dash est à jour. Les avatar aussi?
