Well I'm going to test V2 with USB to see what happens, WiiGX say this
Only the latest version of DML Booter (developed by FIX94) is suited for now.
Well after testing with only DML Booter, it's not great it didn't recognize my games on USB (empty list) I reinstalled r59 (full list) reinstalled V2 (I see my list of games) so either the games don't launch or it launches the GameCube game that's in the drive :s (that's fishy right?) maybe it's because my hard drive isn't in max 32K clusters.
Re V2 Update 2 works wonderfully for me now with the few games I have on my hard drive
I just changed one thing in the options
Before launching the game, press B button to enter the options
Then select "boot methode <<< new >>>"
Press the R button to go to page 3
Then check if "No Disc Patch" is set to <<< on >>>
Go back to the game list by pressing B and launch your game
For me it works so I don't know why it wouldn't for you, keep us posted.
And after doing that, even if I set it to Off my games work, weird but I'm too happy about it.
Ensuite choisisser "boot methode <<< new >>>
Finally one more compatible game (for me) Mega Man Anniversary Collection ^^ does Mario Power Tennis work for you? I get a Fatal Error message .... mem1.
I have a question, I tried the NMM option but it doesn't work with all games (ex: Megaman Collection) it stays stuck at loading the card in slot A, but is there a trick to make it work properly? or transfer a save from the GC memory card to the SD card.
I bet! adding a whole usb support to something that doesn't have any, that must be quite something!! to think that so many years after preloader it's come to this, it's really beautiful!! who would have thought a super new awesome thing on wii in 2012
EDIT: Mario Power Tennis (USA) works with Dios Mios Lite r58 and Dios Mios V2 Update 4
but still not on USB with Dios Mios V2 Update 4
A question is it possible to have both Dios Mios Lite r58 and Dios Mios V2 Update 4 coexist, in order to have more compatibility?
Ok, I really don't understand what's going on, it still shows "Fatal error entrypoint is not within MEM1!" and that's with any video config, so I have DIOS MIOS 2 Update 5 and DIOS MIOS Booter r27 and the latest USB Loader GX to date.
Ok, thank you I'll test it and edit my message once I've done it and if it works.
Edit: there you go, so I redid a dump of my original game, same problem, and yet it works when I launch it from the drive, so I ran the iso through Gamecube ISO Tool and now it works, so my original game works in the drive but is no longer good for making a dump, thank you for helping me
thanks. By the way for DM fans, which backup format do you prefer? iso? gcm? raw or shrunk? Is GCRex essential or do you also get good results with a 1:1 iso (made with clean rip for example).
And I was wondering if the loaders (wiiflow especially) could use the dios mios installed in sneek's emulated nand? in order to be able to play multigame discs while keeping a cmios since dios mios can't read multidiscs. thanks for your insight;)
merci.
Personally I use the isos compressed with discEX.
I see no point in using GCRex, the extracted files will take up more disk space with 32 or 64k clusters.
No possibility to play GC games on emulated nand with WiiFlow as far as I know.
