There's a small problem with the hack.ini! It's not for the right system menu! For 4.0PAL replace (in the hack.ini) the values "290" with "287".

You replace the 290 with 287

I figured it out on my own!
When I was on 3.2, I had a hack.ini for my preloader! I wanted to use it with the new preloader, since I moved to 4.0
It didn't work! It told me the hack.ini wasn't for this console version! Then I made the connection between 290 and 287! Not the same system menu code! I open my hack.ini, replace it, put it back on the SD, uninstall my broken hack.ini, reinstall the new hack.ini, miracle it works!

Sa na pas marcher!Sa me disait que le hack.ini ne marchait pas pour cette version de console!Puis j'ai fais la liaison entre 290 et 287!Pas le même code de system menu!J'oivre mon hack.ini,je remplace,je remets dans la SD,je désinstalle mon hack.ini défecteux,je réisntalle le nouveaux hack.ini,miracle sa marche!

After quite a struggle (Bricked the wii...) I finally managed to install the 4.0 menu with preloader 0.29.

I only have two problems left to solve:

1) in the Systemmenu Hack I only have three options???
I saw that this happened to some of you but I can't figure out how you solved the problem.
personally I tried hackremover but I get an error (obviously I used the Hack.ini included in the preloader 0.29 archive)

2) do you know if you can install wiihome with preloader 0.29.
Are there already custom themes compatible with the new 4.0 system menu?

Après avoir pas mal galéré (Brick de la wii...) j'ai enfin réussi à installer le menu 4.0 avec le preloader 0.29.

Il ne me reste plus que deux problèmes à régler:

1) dans le Systemmenu Hack je n'ai que trois options???
j'ai vu que c'était arrivé à certains d'entre vous mais je ne parviens pas à comprendre comment vous avez résolu le problème.
perso j'ai tenté le hackremover mais j'ai une erreur (bien évidement j'ai utilisé le Hack.ini présent dans l'archive du preloader 0.29)

2) savez vous si on peut installer wiihome avec le preloader 0.29.
Existe il déjà des thèmes perso compatible avec le nouveau système menu 4.0?

Hi, I'm a novice with Preloader
I also have my Wii on 4.0... and I also survived a brick

From what I understood, 4.0 is limited to 3 options, including the main one: blocking updates. As long as there's no editor for the 0.29's hack.ini, we won't get more options. I guess we just have to wait a few weeks.

Salut, je suis un profane en Preloader
j'ai aussi ma Wii en 4.0... et j'ai aussi survécu à un brick

A ce que j'ai compris, la 4.0 est limité à 3 options dont l'essentiel : le blocage des update. Tant qu'on n'a pas d'éditeur du hack.ini pour la 0.29, on aura pas pus d'option. Je suppose qu'on doit simplement patienter quelques semaines.
