Flash of XBOX 360

Good evening!

I just got a XBOX 360 of type FALCON and a Lite-on drive, so, I'd like to flash it, put games on its 60Go HDD which I don't see much importance in yet

and play backups on it as well as new games without any problem. Basically, all in one with no more complications

If possible do it via software and a bit via hardware if that can help

A falcon, so a fat ... So several possibilities are open to you.

1. A flash of the drive, for that you need a bit of hardware. An x360USB, the probe 3 and possibly a CK3 (to power your drive) otherwise power via your xbox.

2. An X3KEY (which is nice too). A serious team that perfectly follows up on its product while updating it whenever microsoft decides to throw a wrench in the works!

3. Or otherwise there's still the glitch (under a few conditions, CB version).

If you want more info, I'll try to answer as much as my knowledge allows.

Thank you very much but I don't think I'll be doing anything for now with my 360 :nervous: due to lack of hardware means...

Already, I have to do IMPORT to start with and WAIT before I can even start :boulet:

Well hello there!

My X360USB PRO arrives in two days, so I'd like to hack my 360 and a friend's, so I'd like to get more of an idea about the gadget before I hold it in my hands

.

What do I need to know to get started and is it possible to hack two consoles with the same product and fully enjoy the underground scene on each one?

Of course you can hack 2 xbox360s with the X360USB, the device isn't hard to understand. Now if the drive is a liteon, you also need the Probe III ... If afterwards you want more specific info don't hesitate to ask

Sorry Ovaler, isn't the Probe III included in the X360 USB pack?

From what I can see, it's not there and worse still,

it's a SLIM that got brought to me

The X360USB can flash the slims without any problem, now there's the drive surprise .... and for that you have to open the xbox, no other way to know ... once you know what type of drive is inside, I can guide you further. You can also already check the dashboard ... @ +

Step N°2 ---> Open the whole drive to find out what type of chip you have...

you find the dashboard in the xbox menu ... in the settings.

The latest one is 14719

Ok mine is on 13599

So, the drive's chip is the 03 which is the MXIC with a dashboard of 13599, so?

So, either you need a bit more hardware to unlock it for writing because you're on 13599 or you change the whole pcb .... I'm going to eat, I'll give you more info afterwards but right now it's off to a bad start ... The slims aren't the coolest to work on!

So,

Method 1 ---> unlock the original pcb with the unlock probe from team xecuter.

Method 2 ---> Unlock the original pcb with the Trident from team Lizard but for that, you also need their device, the maximus Lizard. (not the best solution for you)

Method 3 ---> The Russian method, no specific hardware but there's a trace to cut and soldering to do.

Method 4 ---> A replacement pcb from team xecuter (the simplest, I'd say)

In all cases except the 3rd, you need extra hardware ....

I'm in trouble but for the FATs, do you absolutely need the Probe III to flash the drives, because I don't have one for now.

And for method 3 that's called the Russian method (read about it on the internet), could I get a bit more detail?

Only for the lite-on FAT ones do you need the probe III, otherwise for the other drives it's all fine

As for my Russian method, here's the hardware you need:

A 10-15 Ohm resistor or a 100 ohm potentiometer
A cutter to cut the trace
A soldering iron 25w max and some solder

I'm heading to work in 10min so I'll give you more info tomorrow

but personally I've never used this method, I always do it with the replacement pcb.
