RGH 2.0 Xbox 360 Phat, 5 seconds to boot!

Following the release of the Reset Glitch Hack 2.0 for Xbox 360 of PHAT type on CB "Refurbished Split" (4577, 5772, 6752) and CB 6750, 6752, 6753 as well as all other models to date, the first tests are pretty disappointing on the boot timing side. Indeed, in addition to unstable boots, these are extremely long, varying from 3 to 10 minutes!

Following our own test on the Glitch360Key v1.1 chip on a Falcon MB, it turns out to be possible to considerably improve boot times! For those who would be tempted to try the experiment, here are the required technical conditions:


1: Use a thick cable for GND and the 3.3v (mandatory).
2: The resistor value needs to be changed depending on your console. With exactly 16~18 Ohms the boot times are very good (unlike the 3 minutes at the beginning of the test), the ideal is to use a 47 or 22ohm potentiometer.
3: Set your glitch360key v1.1 chip to mode 10100 and make sure to cut the capacitor connected to CPU_RST.
4: Having the metal cage and having good ground propagation is ideal, so remember to put the motherboard in its cage + the shell (metal part)
5: After getting xell and recovering your keys (cpukey), for the creation of your modified kernel (14719), remember to check the LDV value and adjust cfldv in option.ini accordingly

Note: By adjusting the reference output voltage on the xilinx with a variable regulation setup (regulator + variable resistor + 2 capacitors) to send exactly 1.65v, the boot times obtained are around 5 sec.

Suite à la parution du Reset Glitch Hack 2.0 pour Xbox 360 de type PHAT en CB « Refurbished Split » (4577, 5772, 6752) et CB 6750, 6752, 6753 ainsi que tout les autres modèles à ce jour, les premiers test sont pour ainsi dire décevant du coté des timming de boot. En effet, en sus des boot instables, ces derniers sont extrêmement long en variant de 3 à 10 minutes !

Suite à notre propre test sur la puce Glitch360Key v1.1 sur CM Falcon, il s’avère possible d’améliorer considérablement les temps de boot ! Pour ceux qui serait tenté de faire l’expérience, voici les conditions techniques requises :


1: Utilisez du gros câble pour GND et le 3,3v (obligatoire).
2: La valeur de la résistance est à modifier selon votre console. Avec 16~18 Ohm exactement les temps de boot sont très bon (à contrario des 3 minutes au début du test), l’idéal est d’utiliser un potentiomètre 47 ou 22ohm.
3: Mettez votre puce glitch360key v1.1 en mode 10100 et faite en sorte de couper le condensateur connecté sur CPU_RST.
4: Le fait d’avoir la cage métallique et d’avoir une bonne propagation de la masse est idéal, donc pensez à mettre la carte mère dans sa cage + la coque (partie métallique)
5: Après avoir obtenu le xell et récupérer vos clés (cpukey), pour la création de votre kernel modifié (14719), pensez à vérifier la valeur du LDV et modifiez en conséquence cfldv dans option.ini

Note : En ajustant la tension référence de sortie sur le xilinx avec un montage de régulation variable (régulateur + résistance variable + 2 condensateurs) pour envoyé exactement 1.65v, les temps de boot obtenus sont de l’ordre de 5 sec.
