Patch qui supprime la protection Starforce sur le jeu Oncle Ernest - La Statuette Maudite !
(protection anticopie qui vérifiait le code présent sur une zone du disque)
Pour la version FRANCAISE UNIQUEMENT.
Comment l'installer ?
C'est très simple,
1) copiez-remplacer le fichier ernest5.exe présent dans le dossier :
C:\emme\La Statuette Maudite\
2) Monter l'ISO du jeu sous Daemon Tool/Alcohol 120% ou insérer un CD contenant les fichiers du jeu.
(Peut importe la qualité de l'ISO ça n'a plus aucune importante !)
3) Jouer ! Aucune manipulation à faire tout fonctionnera !
C'est tout, le crack fera fonctionner le jeu sans aucun soucis.
Plus besoin de code pour le CD.

I'll also go check out your website, I saw that you've put up some compositions to listen to and I can't wait to hear them.
I really enjoyed the music you made for the Oncle Ernest games back then, it was a great success.
A lot of nostalgia redoing the Oncle Ernest games.
I had to make this patch for the last Oncle Ernest game (La statuette maudite) because it had become unplayable on recent PCs.
Indeed even having the CD and the code to launch it, the game refused to start.
Because Microsoft removed Starforce compatibility (and other DRM protections) which was used to identify an original CD from a copy on Windows 10.
And because of that, the game is no longer playable at all. To the point that no one so far had managed to play it again.
That's the reason why there's no gameplay footage of La Statuette Maudite on Youtube.
Now the game works perfectly and can be played or replayed by everyone.
I was able to chat on Youtube with Eric Viennot, I asked him who owns the game's license nowadays.
He told me that Anuman had taken over the license and planned to eventually re-release the games on tablets and mobiles (which would be great to introduce Oncle Ernest to younger generations).
Small question for you. Do you have any info or were you contacted by Anuman about porting the games to tablets and mobiles? It would be really nice if they still plan to adapt each game to tablets.
Since the game is a living book, it's perfectly suited to tablets!

Je vais également passer sur votre site, j'ai vu que vous avez mis des compositions à écouter j'ai hâte de les entendre.
J'ai beaucoup apprécié les musiques que vous avez réalisés dans les jeux Oncle Ernest à l'époque, c'était une réussite.
Beaucoup de nostalgies à refaire les Oncles Ernest.
J'ai eu à faire ce patch pour le dernier jeu Oncle Ernest (La statuette maudite) car il était devenu injouable sur les PC récents.
En effet même en possédant le CD et le code pour le lancer, le jeu refusait de démarrer.
Car Microsoft ont supprimés la compatibilité Starforce (et d'autres sécurités DRM) ce qui permettait d'identifier un CD original d'une copie sous Windows 10.
Or à cause de ça, le jeu n'est plus du tout jouable. A tel point que personne jusqu'a présent n'avait réussi à y rejouer.
C'est la raison pour laquelle il n'y a aucun gameplay de La Statuette Maudite sur Youtube.
Maintenant le jeu fonctionne parfaitement et pourra être joué ou rejoué par tous.
J'ai pu discuter sur Youtube avec Eric Viennot, je lui ai demandé à qui appartenait la licence du jeu de nos jours.
Il m'a indiqué que Anuman avait repris la licence et comptais ressortir un jour les jeux sur tablettes et mobiles (ce qui serai top pour faire découvrir l'Oncle Ernest aux jeunes générations).
Petite question pour vous. Es-ce que vous avez des infos ou avait été contacté par Anuman pour un portage des jeux sur tablettes et mobiles ? Cela serait vraiment bien s'ils ont toujours comme projet d'adapter chaque jeux sur tablettes.
Le jeu étant un livre vivant, c'est totalement adapté aux tablettes !
Hi there! After finding my game again, I installed your patch, I followed the whole tutorial you made, and despite that the game doesn't work, there's a green screen after entering my name. I have sound, but no image... I'm on windows 10 version 1909 in case that matters. Thanks in advance for the reply!
Salut salut ! Après avoir retrouvé mon jeu, j'ai installé ton patch, j'ai fait tout le tuto que tu as fait, et malgré ça le jeu ne fonctionne pas, il y a un écran vert après avoir mis mon nom. I have a small problem, the game launches, but after entering my name, a green screen appears, I hear the dialogues but well the screen is green and I can't do anything. The issue I have is that when launching the autorun.exe of the ISO I DL'd after replacing "ernest5.exe" it asks me where certain files on your computer are, I assume your name is Jérôme:
etc etc so each time I choose the files closest to the description searched but it would be great to automate this!
Actually I can't tell if I have this problem because of the ISO or the "crack" offered here..

Le soucis que j'ai c'est qu'en lançant le autorun.exe de l'ISO que j'ai DL après avoir remplacé le "ernest5.exe" il me demande où se trouve des fichiers de ton ordinateur, je présume que tu t'appelles Jérôme :
etc etc donc je choisis à chaque fois les fichiers les plus proches de la description recherchée mais ça serait super d'automatiser ceci !

Hi, sorry for the late reply.
I reinstalled the game on my end on Windows 10 and I can confirm it's your ISO that's the issue.
It will force it to repoint itself, but normally it's unnecessary to modify it when you use the right ISO.
In any case, the error definitely doesn't come from ernest5.exe, which doesn't contain the paths to those famous files to load.

J'ai réinstallé le jeu de mon côté sous Windows 10 et je te confirme c'est ton ISO le soucis.
