[QUESTION] How to cut and edit 720p and 1080p videos

Hello everyone!

It's flood day today! No seriously, I have a problem...

With some friends, we make short films (amateur) and until now we've used a 640x480 video format.

But now! The HD era is here, and we've moved on to 720p or even 1080p!!

So we have an issue.

For 640x480 we used to use:

- Adobe Premiere CS3 for video editing
- Virtual Dub for video cutting

For 720p and 1080p we run into these problems with the software mentioned above:

- Adobe Premiere CS3

The maximum accepted video size is 640x480 (or maybe I'm not managing to set the right settings

- Virtual Dub (the most important one)

Impossible to open 720p or 1080p videos (a solution was suggested with Virtual Dub Mod, but it doesn't handle the sound).

So, if you happen to have any solutions that would be cool

Hi

I've already made a few edits with Windows Live Movie Maker 2011, which is free too. Because a software like adobe premiere isn't cheap! Otherwise there's also Adobe CS5.5 Production Premium but that's around 400€ I think! I did video/photo editing for a while and I mainly used Windows Live Movie Maker and Virtual Dub but it's true I wasn't doing anything in HD!

For cutting my videos I use TsMuxer . after that it depends on the format of your videos.

For video editing, I use pro show gold!

Bluray, dvd, screensaver, it does everything!

Format factory to convert my videos.

Tsmuxer is also very good.
