This way, it's possible to store many other homebrew applications (or others)
The project is based on the gzip source code under the GPL license (version 1.24). It uses the devkitPro toolchain to build, and libfat to access the memory device.
What works:
The gzip decompressor should be OK (tested with different compressed file sizes, up to 128 MB).
• The user interface is very basic, but allows directory navigation and file selection.
• Tested on a DS Lite with an R4 adapter.
• What doesn't work: error reporting is minimal (hint: result = 0 means everything's fine).
• No checks on the output filename besides stripping the extension (could overwrite something important).
• Compression doesn't work yet.
• Archives other than .gz are not supported (even though gzip can normally handle them).
• No check is done for available space on the device.
What I plan to do ¶ different types • Archive support (at least .Zip).
• Support for compression.
• More than one file in an archive (for example to compress saves with the NDS.).
• Testing, testing, testing.
• Better graphical interface.

Warning: this is a pre-alpha version.
Not suitable for those who don't know what they're doing.
The following assumes you know at least a little about how to launch homebrews on the Nintendo DS.
