Hi friends...
I just got a used PS3...

For the Playstation Network, the person had already created an account for himself...
He's happy to leave it to me but once I try to log in with his username, it tells me the password is no longer valid and that it needs to be changed...?
At that point, it asks me for a date of birth...?
The person tells me he never set one...?
Any idea?
Or can I just recreate one for myself?
And where in the console do I need to go...? (because the person tells me he created his account via the console)
Or on which website?
Thanks in advance...

Also, I'd like to know if it was possible to play PS1 & PS2 games
If so, how do I do it...?

Hi

Following the recent PSN attack, Sony has revised its security policy and is asking users to change their passwords.

I'd rather advise you to create your own account by going to the playstation network with the PS3 or on Sony's website.

Your Ps3 is on 3.66, Sony's latest official update, no hack is currently possible on your PS3, and moreover your console isn't backward compatible so no PS2 or PS1 games.

for a new psn account you absolutely have to create a new user (1st tab from the left), then you'll have the option to create a psn account (2nd tab from the right).

for ps2 games, impossible.

for ps1 games, yes, all ps3s are backward compatible with those.
