Chrome malware protection

Google claims that the latest beta version of its browser (Chrome) integrates a new security feature to warn users that they are trying to download malware from a website

Certainly, the test we performed was only against a very small number of malware - W32/Parite-B, Troj/Agent-OIK, Mal/Behav-130 - and the test file EICAR. So we should not be too quick to read into Chrome's failure in this very limited test.

This is a beta version of Chrome, after all.

And, regardless of Chrome's current or future ability to avoid downloading malware, we recommend good protection in addition to a versatile browser, as this is not its primary job
