Connection and ping

Hi.

So here's the thing, I have a friend who has a play 3 (not hacked) who's been playing CAD MW3 for a few days but it's not going great apparently because of bad ping. But what he doesn't understand is that when he tests his ping with his computer (a mac), it gives him 60ms on average, whereas when he checks with his PS3's browser, he gets over 80ms and that's starting to seriously bug him, especially for a game like CAD. So he asked me if there was possibly a specific config for the console, unfortunately I don't have a PS3 so I'm asking you PS3 gamers .... Thanks

Mais la, ou il ne comprends pas la chose c'est que quand il teste son ping avec son ordi (un mac), ça lui donne en moyenne 60ms alors que quand il vérifie avec l'explorateur de sa PS3, il arrive à plus de 80ms et la ça commence à sérieusement lui prendre la tête surtout pour un jeu comme CAD. Alors il m'as demander si y avais éventuellement une config spécifique pour la console, hélas pas de PS3 chez moi alors je vous demande à vous les PS3 gamers .... Merci

Change the ethernet cable, change port on the box, if he's with free, there's the potato mode, which lets you get a decent ping.

Turn off the pc, while the PS3 is running to see if the ping changes.

Change le cable ethernet, change de port sur la box, si il est chez free, il y a le mode patate , qui permet d'avoir un ping correct.

Coupe le pc, pendant que la PS3 tourne pour voir si le ping varie.

you could also tell him to buy a 360 and a live ticket because at least there you'd have connection.otherwise I already posted something to purify a line here,you could also set up a dmz connection for him which lets you "bypass" the ps3 from the box's protection which lets you have a direct link to the net without going through the firewall,the thing is your console is no longer protected(but well....),thanks to that I have a perfect connection whether with the ps3(open nat)) or the 360(open nat)

tu peu aussi lui dire qu'il achete une 360 et un ticket live car la au moins ta de la connections.sinon j'ai déja posté un truc pour purifier une ligne ici,tu peu aussi lui configurer une connections dmz qui permet de "dérouter" la ps3 de la protection de la box ce qui te permet d'avoir une lien direct avec le net sans passer par le pare feu,le truc c'est que ta console n'est plus protégé(mais bon....),grace a ça j'ai une connections nickel que ça soit avec la ps3(nat ouvert)) ou la 360(nat ouvert)

with dmz access and the ps3 network settings on automatic no need to open ports you're directly on open net

avec un acces dmz et les parametre réseaux ps3 en automatique pas besoin d'ouvrir les ports tu est en net ouvert directe
