Hi everyone,

I just (finally) managed to compile and run Aleph One on the Wii, in a version I've named Aleph WOne...

For those who don't know (is there anyone who does?), Aleph One is an open source version of the engine from the Marathon series created by Bungie in the 90s (Marathon, Marathon 2, Marathon Infinity and all the fan-made scenarios).
For many fans, Halo is nothing other than the sequel to Marathon.

The current version isn't perfect and a lot of things don't work, but you can already try it by downloading it from the project's page: https://code.google.com/p/aleph-wone/downloads/list.

Unfortunately, and only for now, you need a mouse and keyboard to play it, since neither the Wiimote nor the nunchuk are recognized as a mouse (not very practical in the menus :)).

To install it, simply place the archive's contents at the root of your SD card, and place the data of one of the games (available for free from Aleph One's official website: https://marathon.sourceforge.net/) in the AlephOne folder (the one that's not in the apps folder).

Any help finishing the port will be greatly appreciated. Indeed, I still need to:
- Remove some hacks
- Update the base code to match the latest Aleph One sources, and in particular the release that came out less than a week ago (clever, I started my port 2 weeks ago, and the previous version is 1 year old)
- Package everything, because for now the source code consists of a series of patches to apply to the base code, and a shell script to make the compile succeed.

Please tell me what you think of the game and the project on the Aleph WOne project site https://code.google.com/p/aleph-wone.
