New CIOS 36 rev08!!!!!

Waninkoko releases his new CIOS 36, which moves up to rev08!!

Quick reminder:
A CIOS is a modified IOS, which adds new functions compared to the official IOS. This CIOS is actually a modification of IOS36, but installed under the name IOS249, so there's very very very very little chance of a brick (or maybe none at all, to be checked...), which allows various things, including the use of the backup launcher .

New features:
- reading backups (if there's a chip, otherwise still at 3x...) and originals at 6x
-no more 001/002 error
-added a custom IOCTL_DI_OFFSET (for multigames if I understood correctly)
- added a custom DIP (o_O)
-Various fixes and improvements

In short, nothing but good stuff!!!!

Petit rappel :
Un CIOS est un IOS modifié, qui apporte de nouvelles fonctions par rapport à l'IOS officiel. Ce CIOS est en faite une modification donc de l'IOS36, mais installé sous le nom de l'IOS249 donc très très très très peu de chances de brick (voire aucune , à vérifier ... ), qui permet diverses choses, y compris l'utilisation du backup launcher .

Nouveautés :
- lecture des backup (si il y a une puce , sinon toujours en 3x ...) et des originaux 6x
-aucune erreur 001/002
-ajout d'un custom IOCTL_DI_OFFSET (pour les multigames si j'ai bien compris)
- ajout d'un custum DIP (o_O)
-Correction et améliorations diverses

About the whole 6X reading thing, I'm really not sure at all...

I think it's actually the reading of originals and the reading of backups with a chip that get read by the backup launcher at 6X.... Basically you still need to have a chip.
But TO BE CONFIRMED!

Je pense que c'est plutôt la lecture des originaux et la lecture des backups avec une puces qui sont lus par le backup laucnher en 6X.... En gros faut quand même avoir une puce.

having installed it I see no difference with the 7!!
the channel didn't detect the cios the first time
reading is indeed at X3 (on mario power tennis wii)
the "Backup Launcher 0.3 Gamma Autoboot" channel doesn't launch compilations (mario and friends)
I haven't tried the error 002

pour l'avoir installer je ne vois pas de difference avec le 7 !!
la chaine na pas detecter la cios la premiere fois

@Natho18: I'm afraid 6x reading is only possible with a chip... Because actually, with rev8 now, people who have a chip AND the GAMMA backup launcher can read their backup at 6x VIA the backup launcher! something they couldn't do before.
Granted it's not necessarily very interesting for them since by going directly through the disc channel, they already read their backup at 6x...

Well that's how I see it anyway...

@Natho18: J'ai bien peur que la lecture en 6x ne soit possible qu'avec une puce... Car en fait, avec le rev8 maintenant, les gens qui possède une puce ET le backup launcher GAMMA, peuvent lire leur backup en 6x VIA le backup launcher ! chose qu'ils ne pouvaient pas faire avant.
Certes ce n'est pas forcément très intéressant pour eux vu qu'en passant directement par la chaine disque, ils lisent leur backup en 6x...

Enfin moi je le vois comme ça...

that's already a plus and for now the only benefit for me

Simply because making a chipless backup run at x6 requires a HARDWARE modification, not a software one anymore, and

or it would be way too risky for the console,
(About 90% brick rate in that case I believe)

or simply impossible to code.

Tout simplement car faire passer un backup sans puce en x6 nécessite une modification HARDWARE, et non plus software, et

ou ce serait largement trop risqué pour la console,
( Environ 90% de brick dans ce cas il me semble )

ou tout simplement impossible à coder.
