The DS Lite no longer finds cartridge

Hello,

My son wanted to play GH3 on his ds lite. Original game. So he inserts the cartridge, turns on the DS and the DS says there's no cartridge inserted. I tried with another original game same problem.
What should I do?
Is the DS dead?
Please help me

A classic!

Look inside the cartridge slot (you'll see metal pins that might be bent) straighten them!

you can clean the cartridge contacts with an eraser.

Test your cartridge on another ds.

The eraser didn't change anything.
Indeed there are some bent pins.
Even after straightening it doesn't work!
The cartridges work on another DS.
can the drive be changed!?

With a small lamp and a small flathead screwdriver, you'll probably see that one of them isn't making contact.

Either you take apart the ds and try to put the pins back correctly, or you order the cartridge slot (20€) but it'll need to be soldered.

At a console repair shop, this kind of job costs about 50 euros.
