Implementation of PEEK and POKE CFW 3.55

there it is, it's done, the lv2 patch has just been born and it enables the peek and poke function, all that's left now is for the managers to be updated to be able to launch backups

PREREQUISITES:

1) Sony's official 3.55 firmware (MD5: "ca595ad9f3af8f1491d9c9b6921a8c61")

2) Patch "PS3UPDAT.PUP.bsdiff"

3) BSPatch WINDOWS LINUX

4) Geohot's 3.55 CFW

WARNING NEITHER I NOR TGAMES INCLUDING ITS MODERATORS AND WRITERS WILL BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR WHAT YOU DO, THERE IS A RISK OF BRICKING THE CONSOLE, THEREFORE WHATEVER YOU DO WILL BE DONE WITH FULL KNOWLEDGE OF THE FACTS.

PATCHING THE OFFICIAL 3.55 UPDATE:

1) extract the archives on your pc

2) Copy the "bspatch.exe" file and the "PS3UPDAT.PUP" into the "ps3_355_patched_lv2" folder

3) Open the command prompt (Windows Key + R, then type "cmd")

4) Go to the folder on your desktop "ps3_355_patched_lv2" for that do cd ps3_355_patched_lv2

5) To patch your official firmware type the following command:

bspatch PS3UPDAT.PUP PATCHPS3UPDAT.PUP PS3UPDAT.PUP.bsdiff

6) Rename "PATCHPS3UPDAT.PUP" to "PS3UPDAT.PUP", and make sure its MD5 Hash matches "337831fac6a9b05074f73710c4bb7c86"

INSTALLING THE CFW

1) Install the patched Firmware like any official update
it's possible to do this from any firmware including geohot's but I recommend starting from an official 3.55 firmware
2) then install geohot's CFW from the XMB

voilà c'est fait, le patch du lv2 vient de voir le jour et ainsi cela permet la fonction du peek and poke, il reste maintenant que les manager soit mis à jour pour pouvoir lancer les backup

PRÉREQUIS:

1) Le firmware 3.55 officiel de Sony (MD5 : "ca595ad9f3af8f1491d9c9b6921a8c61")

2) Patch "PS3UPDAT.PUP.bsdiff"

PATCH DE L'UPDATE 3.55 OFFICIEL :

1) décompressez les archives sur votre pc

2) Copiez le fichier "bspatch.exe" et le "PS3UPDAT.PUP" dans le dossier "ps3_355_patched_lv2"

3) Ouvrez l'invite de commandes (Touche Windows + R, puis tapez "cmd")

4) Rendez vous dans le dossier qui se trouve sur votre bureau "ps3_355_patched_lv2" pour cela faite cd ps3_355_patched_lv2

5) Pour patcher votre firmware officiel tapez la commande suivante:

bspatch PS3UPDAT.PUP PATCHPS3UPDAT.PUP PS3UPDAT.PUP.bsdiff

6) Renommez "PATCHPS3UPDAT.PUP" en "PS3UPDAT.PUP", et assurez vous que le Hash MD5 de ce dernier corresponde bien à "337831fac6a9b05074f73710c4bb7c86"

INSTALLATION DU CFW

1) Installez le Firmware patché comme n'importe qu'elle mise à jour officielle
il es possible de le faire depuis n'importe quel firmware y compris celui de geohot mais je vous conseille de partir d'un firmware officiel 3.55
2) installer ensuite le CFW de geohot depuis le XMB

well apparently you need to put the official one, then the patch and geohot's, so you need to put on 3, but tomorrow remind me to send you the links that work by PM

ben apparemment il faut mettre l'officiel ensuite le patch et celui de geohot donc faut en mettre 3 mais demain tu me rappellera de t'envoyer les lien qui vont bien en MP

thanks buddy but I found while searching, you can find the official fw already patched so for those on 3.41:
-found the patched fw 3.55
-usb key in fat32, create a PS3 folder then an UPDATE folder and put the patched fw 3.55 inside, that gives us PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDATE.PUP
-put the usb key in a port, ps3 system update via storage.
-downloaded geohot's mfw and do the same thing, replacing the PS3UPDATE.PUP file on the key with geohot's.
so all that's left is to wait for the managers to be modified to launch backups on 3.55, which shouldn't be long now, meanwhile it's nice to have a cod mw2 online eh

merci poto mais j'ai trouvé en cherchant on trouve le fw officiel déja patché donc pour ceux en 3.41:
-trouvé le fw 3.55 patché
-clef usb en fat32,créé un dossier PS3 puis un dossier UPDATE et mettre le fw 3.55 patché dedans,ça nous donne PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDATE.PUP
-mettre la clef usb dans un port,mise a jour systéme ps3 par stockage.
-telechargé le mfw de geohot et faire la méme manipe en remplaçant le fichier PS3UPDATE.PUP present sur la clef par celui de geohot.
voila il ne nous reste plus qu'a attendre les managers modifier pour lancer les backup en 3.55 qui ne devrait plus tarder,en attendant ça fait plaisir de ce faire un cod mw2 en réseau non

yeah it's always nice, personally I haven't done it yet because I'm waiting to see if backups need to go internal or if it also works external!!!

, ok enough joking, change of plan, for those who stayed on 3.41 I advise you to stay there for now, there are a lot of problems with flukes1's patch and he seems to now be leaning towards implementing peek and poke in LV1, Geohot's CFW isn't supposed to get peek and poke, unlike others, I'm not trashing Geohot because he's always been clear that he doesn't condone mass piracy of backups, once again don't rush in headfirst and don't jump on the first CFWs without positive feedback, WAIT AND SEE damnittttttt....

, bon trêve de plaisanterie, changement de programme, pour ceux qui sont rester en 3.41 je vous conseille d'y rester pour le moment, il y a de nombreux pbm avec le patch de flukes1 et il se pencherait désormais vers l'implantation du peek and poke dans le LV1, le CFW de Geohot ne serait pas prévu pour recevoir le peek and poke, contrairement à d'autre, je ne crache pas sur Geohot car il a toujours été clair dans ses propos à savoir qu'il ne cautionnait pas le piratage en masse des backup, encore une fois ne foncer pas tête baisser et ne vous jeter pas sur les premiers CFW sans avoir de retour positif, WAIT AND SEE bordellllllllll....

, no I don't have a brick it's fine, it works well (psn, homebrew etc) but no save launching

well it's fine MachOne no problem, i know it's just a matter of time before the thing gets fixed because geohot isn't the only genius, he showed the way for others....maybe he'll go do his little genius act and show up on the scene saying "i modded it, i found it, you play thanks to me"

hmm i don't know, i rather get the feeling he really wants to work at Sony or another manufacturer, anyway if a contract shows up he'll drop the ps3 scene, iphone and take it, that's clear...

humm je sais pas j'ai plutôt l'impression qu'il veut absolument bosser chez Sony ou un autre constructeur, en tout cas si un contrat se présente il va lâcher la scène ps3, iphone et accepter ca c'est clair...
