@Panda: To edit the category titles, if you're using r254, you need to edit the categories.ini file found in /wiiflow/settings/

- WiiFlow StarNight NForwarder58-WSNF.wad
is meant to work with ios58 (also works with other ios)

- WiiFlow StarNight Forwarder-WSNF.wad
is the normal basic one (which normally doesn't work with ios58)

it's more a wii question than a wiiflow one so

la reponse est simple
- WiiFlow StarNight NForwarder58-WSNF.wad
est prévu pour fonctionner avec l'ios58 (fonctionne aussi avec les autres ios)

- WiiFlow StarNight Forwarder-WSNF.wad
c'est la normal de base (qui normalement ne fonctionne pas avec l'ios58)

c'est plus une question de wii que de wiiflow donc

As for the screen shift upward (black bar in the lower part of the screen) that zinzindu24 mentions, I noticed that too.
I use my Wii in 60Hz mode with a YUV cable. The shift isn't present on the main page (game selection) but it is on the settings page and also on the wiiflow version one (update screen).
On the other hand, in 50Hz mode, the shift is indeed present on all pages!

Pour ce qui est du décalage de l'écran vers le haut (barre noire dans la partie inférieure de l'écran) dont zinzindu24 parle, je l'ai remarqué aussi.
J'utilise ma Wii en mode 60Htz avec un câble YUV. Le décalage n'est pas présent sur la page principal (choix des jeux) mais il l'est sur la page des paramètres et aussi sur celle de la version de wiiflow (écran de mise à jour).
En revanche, en mode 50Htz, le décalage est bien présent sur toutes les pages !

indeed in 60Hz mode everything's back to normal for me, on all wiiflow pages, not just some.

effectivement en mode 60 htz tout redeviens normal chez moi, sur toutes les pages de wiiflow par contre pas que sur certaine.

Because, for me, it's 480p mode. I haven't tested in 480i.

Already actarus1973 is spot on.
Also if you're using the base version, it's not based on ios58 since this forwarder doesn't look for it. I'll remove that version from the wiki, since the NForwarder58 works with or without ios58.
The NForwarder58 version loads faster. Maybe barely noticeable but still faster.

ayiana already ran the tests for me but apparently it doesn't work. But you can also test, for that you put the dol+all the other files/folders on your NTFS partition and launch wiiflow with the Nforwarder58.

Déjà actarus1973 a tout juste.
Ensuite si tu utilises la version de base, ce n'est pas sur la base de l'ios58 puisque ce forwarder ne le recherche pas. Je vais virer cette version du wiki, puisque le NForwarder58 fonctionne avec ou sans l'ios58.
La version NForwarder58 est plus rapide au chargement. Peut etre peu perceptible mais plus rapide tout de même.

You don't have to have an HDTV to use 480p mode. As for me, I use the Wii on a CRT TV that handles 100Hz progressive (for info: Panasonic 82cm 16/9) and has YUV connections. So I don't have an HDTV but since I use a YUV cable, I set the Wii's display to 480p.
So to sum up:
- 50Hz mode: screen shifted upward (black bar in the lower part of the screen) on all Wiiflow pages (disappears in games),
- 60Hz mode (480i): no screen shift on the various Wiiflow pages (can you confirm zinzindu24?),

Indeed, a speed gain on the Wiiflow loading screen is noticeable
On the other hand, I don't know if it's related, when arriving on the game selection page, the covers take a bit longer to show up (maybe due to the fact that Wiiflow's loading is now faster than reading the "cache" folder )

As for using Wiiflow, everything is on the NTFS partition
So I have a Wiiflow folder (boxcovers, cache, settings, themes,...) and an apps folder (containing the .dol as well as wiiflow.ini) at the root of the HDD. Then, I installed the Nforwarder58.wad
Everything has worked for several weeks. Except since tonight, I get a code dump when loading covers after installing some karaoke games

Pas obligé d'avoir de HDTV pour utiliser le mode 480p. Me concernant, j'utilise la Wii sur une TV à tube cathodique qui gère le 100Htz progressif (pour info : Panasonic 82cm 16/9ème) et qui dispose de branchements YUV. Je n'ai donc pas de HDTV mais comme j'utilise un câble YUV, j'ai réglé l'affichage de la Wii sur 480p.
Donc pour résumé :
- Mode 50Htz : écran décalé vers le haut (barre noire dans la partie inférieure de l'écran) sur toutes les pages de Wiiflow (disparait dans les jeux),
- Mode 60Htz (480i) : pas de décalage de l'écran sur les différentes pages de Wiiflow (tu confirme zinzindu24 ?),
- Mode 60Htz (480p) : écran décalé vers le haut sur les pages paramètres et mise à jour. Pas de décalage sur la page de choix de jeux.

En revanche, je ne sais pas si c'est lié, lorsque l'on arrive sur la page de choix des jeux, les jaquettes mettent un peu plus de temps à s'afficher (peut-être du au fait que le chargement de Wiiflow soit maintenant plus rapide que la lecture du dossier "cache" )

Concernant l'utilisation de Wiiflow, tout est sur la partition NTFS
J'ai donc, un dossier Wiiflow (boxcovers, cache, settings, themes,...) et un dossier apps (comprenant le .dol ainsi que le wiiflow.ini) à la racine du HDD. Puis, j'ai installé le Nforwarder58.wad
Tout fonctionne depuis plusieurs semaines. Sauf que depuis ce soir, j'ai un code dump au chargement des jaquettes après avoir installé des jeux de karaoké

So, at the risk of repeating myself, I've been using wiiflow (.dol + games) for several weeks on an NTFS partition and it works fine.

Yes I know all that already , I was just pointing out that my old CRT doesn't support 100Hz so I don't have access to 480p (it stays all gray )

Oui je sais bien tout ça , je précisais que mon tubard ne supporte pas le 100 htz donc je n'ai pas accés au 480p (iil reste tout gris )

I just switched to version 254, keeping my boxcovers and covers folder, and the result, corrupted covers.

Sometimes, I feel like storming onto the wiiflow irc and giving them a piece of my mind!

A bug that's been dragging on for at least 180 revisions.

If you start from a clean wiiflow, no problem, but sorry my boxcovers folder, I want to keep it so I keep it (now I make a backup).

I feel a return to 222 coming soon!

Je viens de passer à la version 254 , en gardant mon dossier boxcovers et covers , et le resultat , covers corrompues .

Il y a des fois , j'ai envie de foncer sur l'irc de wiiflow et de leur mettre un gros tir !

Un bug qui traine depuis au moins 180 revisions .

Si vous partez d'un wiiflow propre , pas de soucis , mais desole mon dossier boxcovers , je tiens à le conserver et donc je le garde ( maintenant je fais un backup ).

Je sens un retour vers la 222 imminent !

little noob questions for the wiiflow experts

So my covers have been buggy since I updated wiiflow to make just dance 2 work, I previously had v1.1 I think and then I took v2.2 rev 254 from your site (the pack) and when it loads my covers no longer show, either black squares or full of colors. I deleted my cache and covers folder, then re-downloaded some covers but nothing helps

here's what I have in "?": ios250 rev20 base ios37, and I have a wii 3.2e

lastly I tried to install the purple forwarder with wadmanager but it didn't work why?
and last question how do I load the wiiflow theme I want (purple theme)?

Voila mes covers bug depuis que j'ai fais la maj de wiiflow pour faire marcher just dance 2, j'avais precedemment la v1.1 je crois et la j'ai pris la v2.2 rev 254 sur votre site (le pack) et à mon chargement jai mes covers qui ne s'affiche plus soit carré noir ou plein de couleurs. j'ai supprimé mon dossier cache et covers, puis retelechargé quelques covers mais rien n'y fait

voila ce que j'ai dans "?" : ios250 rev20 base ios37, et j'ai une wii 3.2e

enfin j'ai essayé d'installer le violet forwader avec wadmanager mais ca n'a pas voulu pourquoi?
et derniere question comment charger le theme wiiflow voulu (theme violet) ?
