Personally I have problems with a lot of NTSC or FR WW on my PAL, but some work fine.

And the ISOs here are all PAL. (WW or VC not provided of course)

I don't fully understand how this works...

USB loader GX works perfectly on my wii on 3.1 + CIOS 38 rev 14.
Trifforce 0.42 and triiforce mrc 0.74 too on emulated NAND
But I don't understand how I can launch the Wiiwares in ISO from usb loader GX.

AND I read through the whole dedicated topic on GBATEMP and here too and I still don't get it.

I don't know about USB Loader GX, I thought I read that the ISOs don't work with GX. Personally, I use Wiiflow and no problem.

Rev 14 ok
Triiforce ok
You have everything right so I think it's really GX that doesn't do it.

Come on IRC so we can talk about it live ;)

And did you see my TOPIC??

Thanks Jiiwah for your reply.
I don't use IRC but I'm going to explain my problem which is more a matter of understanding than of implementation.

So I have a WII 3.1E with CIOS 14 that works perfectly.
On this one I test pretty much everything (homebrew, games, loader, wiiware, basically everything the console can do).

So I have a 2GB SD card loaded with WIIWARE with Triiforce and an emulated NAND to be able to run US WIIWARES without risk.

But since TRIIFORCE's interface is what it is and Trriforce mrc isn't great either, I'd like a nicer looking display and simpler access to the games (because it's not me who tries the games but my kids (I'm 40 and I don't play) but I like making things work and above all understanding the steps.

So since I like USB loader GX's interface (but I could try with Configurable usb loader or Wiiflow) I'd like to enjoy the 3D covers of the WIIWARES and integrate them into the carousel with the regular games.

So my question is how to turn a Wiiware WAD into an iso so I can put it on the usb HDD.

Should I leave my SD card (dedicated to Wiiwares) as it is or can I create isos that I'll put on the HDD and use the SDHC on which I have all the Homebrews etc...

Also does this system use the emulated NAND or the real NAND?

PS: I know how to use all the WII Hack tools without any issue

Same for me ;)

But I believe ISOs don't work with GX. If your games partition is in WBFS, test with Wiiflow.

I'm in the process of making all the ISOs, but I have a small problem, more info later.

The ISOs are forwarders so you still need your sd wiiware (or HDD). Personally they're on the FAT32 part of my HDD.

the emulated NAND

conclusion: Try with Wiiflow if you can and keep me posted. Especially since the carousel of
Wiiflow is much nicer.

hmmm very interesting topic, I'm going to look into this more closely, I find triiforce really ugly, very restrictive. If I can launch wiiwares, vc and other homebrew games via a usb loader that would be great ;)

Thanks Jiiwah for your info.

I tried a few things with your isos on Wiiflow but when I select the game in wiiflow (which shows up fine with the cover) well nothing happens.

if I understand correctly:
currently
- my wii = 3.1E with CIOS rev14
- On my SD card there's my NAND dump + triiforce + wiiflow (in the Apps folder)
- on my usb HDD I put your Isos (well 1 or 2 for testing)
- I installed my wiiwares with WadtoNand on the SD.
- I copied the forwarders into the SD:/triiforwarderds/****.dol folder

Question:
How does the thing work?
I thought the iso would show up in Wiiflow because it's on the drive.
I launch the game through Wiiflow which runs the iso which points to the forwarder which itself launches triiforce and the game which is installed on my emulated NAND on the SD.

is that really how it works?

Yes the ISO should show up in Wiiflow and yes you understood correctly how it works. Except it doesn't launch TriiForce, TriiForce's code is included in the source code of the dol inside triiforwarders.

But since you're mentioning the triiforwarders folder, those aren't the isos from this topic that you have, but the ones from the wiki. The wiki ones haven't all been tested, whereas the ones from this topic have. Maybe the wiki isos don't work, I tested 3 and they worked, so I continued the series. They're not at all the same isos, in the ones from the topic the dol is inside the iso.
Test with the ones from this topic, those definitely work, test and let me know.
