It doesn't work....With UAC or without it, it doesn't work....
Vista is a piece of s****....

what about Seven RC?
it works well too.
the big problem with OSes is often the user.
the point of a forum isn't to throw stones at Microsoft (they've evolved, thankfully, since millenium) but to try to help those who use it.
hi,
I tried lots of things, on Vista, and no problem at all.
The only thing is a hard drive recognition issue, sometimes, and I unplug/replug the USB and it starts working again.
did you properly extract the archive before running it, and do you have in the same folder
WBFSTool.exe and wbfs.exe?
salut,
Oh yes! I have everything spot on!
The only thing is that when I run everything as non-administrator, everything works except I can't find the hard drive.
As administrator, I only have wbfs.exe which doesn't work....So no ISO transfer....
not useful for me since it works, but try:
right click on the exe
then properties
then compatibility
and check 'run this program in ... mode' and choose windows XP (SP2)
and click apply at the bottom
do it with both exes
you never know.
well, if you haven't tried yet, you can run it in command mode.
let me explain:
extract your archive to c: so you get C:/wbfs/wbfs.exe as the path
actually the folder name is kept as simple as possible so you don't have to type long paths in dos command mode
then (on vista), start and in the 'search' box type 'cmd' and enter
a dos-style window opens with C:\Users\you>
type 'cd..' to go up one level
then another 'cd..' to get to C:
then type 'cd wbfs' to go into the wbfs folder (hence the simple path name)
the 'dir' command lets you list the contents of the current folder
so 'C:\wbfs>dir' lists the contents of the C:wbfs folder
then you type 'wbfs.exe M list' with M being the letter of my drive, to get:
"C:\wbfs>wbfs.exe M list"
and there it lists the whole disk
you'll see this way what's not working (graphical interface, executable...)
all the steps in pictures: Image unavailable (removed by its host)
otherwise there's a 2.1 version that came out
in the download archive, there are 2 versions:
x64 for 64 bit OSes
x86 for 32 bit OSes
worth trying for your problem.
"C:\wbfs>wbfs.exe M list"

I'm on 32 bit.
2.1 doesn't work without UAC.............
I'll try later with UAC.............
I'll also try later, from the command line.
