NSMBW Mod WBFS Builder v0.9.6

2026 update: to play Newer Super Mario Bros. Wii and other mods without modifying your disc, follow our tutorial Mario Kart Wii online and mods in 2026: Riivolution, CTGP, Retro Rewind and Newer SMBW.
NSMBW Mod WBFS Builder
This is a variant of the script by damysteryman which as its name indicates, only allows creating files in WBFS format.
I reduced the number of steps to just one, there is therefore no more choice of the original version of New Super Mario Bros. Wii, automatic detection for all, nor the choice of shared or separate save, separate for all.
I did, however, add a few small things, at the end of the script, you have the option to continue to create another backup of the mod.
You will have the pleasant surprise of finding a French interface in your backups but this is in no way a complete translation of the mods.
Since each mod has a personal save, the latter is distinguished by a customized save icon and banner.

NSMBW Mod WBFS Builder
Il s'agit d'une variante du script de damysteryman qui comme son nom l'indique, ne permet de créer des fichiers qu'au format WBFS.
J'ai réduit le nombre d'étape à une seule, il n'y a donc plus de choix de la version d'origine de New Super Mario Bros. Wii, détection automatique pour tous, ni le choix de sauvegarde partagée ou séparée, séparée pour tous.
J'ai en revanche ajouté quelques petites choses, à la fin du script, vous avez la possibilité de continuer pour créer un autre backup de mod.
Vous aurez l'agréable surprise de retrouver une interface en français dans vos backups mais il ne s'agit aucunement d'une traduction intégrale des mods.
Puisque chaque mod a une sauvegarde perso, cette dernière se distingue par une icône et une bannière de sauvegarde personnalisées.

If you had already created a separate save, it won't be accessible with this version of the backups.
damysteryman's script actually only creates a single save with ID KMNx, which isn't the case for my script (I specified the ID of each save in the first post).
What can also be confusing is the naming of the backups of type Title [ID].wbfs, that matches the naming of all my backups and is very well recognized by backup loaders.

Si tu avais déjà créé une sauvegarde séparée, elle ne sera pas accessible avec cette version des backups.
Le script de damysteryman ne créé en fait qu'une seule sauvegarde ayant pour ID KMNx, ce qui n'est pas le cas de mon script (j'ai précisé l'ID de chaque sauvegarde sur le premier post).
Ce qui peut aussi être déconcertant, c'est le nommage des backups de type Title [ID].wbfs, cela correspond au nommage de tous mes backups et est très bien reconnu avec les backup loaders.

However, for your "little bits of work", little little little?????
I see the result, it's nothing "little" to me...
-very simple to use (only choose the game )
-recovery of the French language for the "non-modded parts"
-a "save" worthy of an original game.
-very nice covers

These are small extras that make a big difference (in my eyes)...

je constate le résultat, il n'a rien de "petit" pour moi...
-grande simplicité d'utilisation (choisir uniquement le jeux )
-récupération de la langue française pour les "parties non mod"
-"save" digne d'un jeu original.
-de très jolies covers

Ce sont des petits plus qui font une grande différence (a mes yeux)...

That's indeed planned but I lack inspiration and the weather... argh the weather.

Edit: the banner is included in the pack and directly injected into the backup. For WiiFlow to display it, you need to empty wiiflow/cache/banner.

C'est effectivement prévu mais je manque d'inspiration et la météo... haaa la météo.

Edit: la bannière est incluse dans le pack et directement injectée dans le backup. Pour que WiiFlow affiche cette dernière, il faut vider wiiflow/cache/banner.

The save_icon and save_banner of Retro Remix aren't mine, they were already present in the mod.
From what I've read, this mod has been abandoned for quite a while, so don't be disappointed if it's not fully playable.

Les save_icon et save_banner de Retro Remix ne sont pas de moi, elles étaient déjà présentes dans le mod.
De ce que j'ai pu lire, ce mod est à l'abandon depuis un bon moment, alors ne soyez pas déçu si il n'est pas pleinement jouable.

Ha, who knows, this could be the occasion to revive this Mod...
