USB LOADER V1 AND REV09

- with this to play we can only dump our Backups (wii -> HD)?

- with 3Cios USB beta 3(IOS 222) and WBFS Tool (for linux): I saw the tuto it's still quite tough to get through (especially if you run it through google translate!). So under Linux/MacOS we're going to create a partition on our pre-formatted HD to inject the WBFS Tool tool whose role will be to Scrub our isos live (all the Scrubbing will be done on the HD by the wii, is that right?) before playing...

There you go that's it, with rev9 and usb loader v1, we can only dump our backups directly from our wii to our HD, but not from the pc to our HD.

On the other hand with WBFS tool, we can, and the "scrubbing" is done directly on the HD.

Again this is just a first approach, in beta, but that's already a lot

yes Chris49 you installed rev09 me I couldn't go from rev7 to 9 I went through rev8.

I'd need the opinion of those who already installed the USB loader. I just installed it on my Wii...
And now it's asking me to format my HD to put it in WBFS. Hence my question:
Did you only put backups on your HD? or is it possible to leave your music, images, video on the HD + the Backups?
Did you have any problems with the WBFS format under Windows? (I'm asking because I didn't know this format yet...)

EDIT: Well while looking a bit, I saw that Waninkoko said to make two partitions, one data partition (for our files) and the other in WBFS for the ISOs.
I'm going to test that right away! (well once my 80GB of files are copied to my PC... lol)

J'aurai besoin l'avis de ceux qu'il l'ont déjà mis l'USB loader. Je viens tout juste de l'installer sur ma Wii...
Et la il me demande de formater mon DD pour le mettre en WBFS. D'où ma question:
Est ce que vous avez mis que les backups sur votre DD ? ou alors est il possible de laisser ses musiques, image, video sur le DD + les Backups ?
Vous n'avez pas eu de prob avec le format WBFS sous Windows ? (Je demande cas je ne connaissais pas encore ce format...)

Hi and yes it's me again just to know if the wad for rev8 and rev9 is indeed "IOS36-64-v1042" so if I have that file I don't need to go through the network install but the other one????
No need to remove them it goes on top automatically?(seeing as I need to install rev8 before rev9)

Basically there's no point upgrading to 4.0 when everything works very well on 3.2 x)
On the other hand, installing rev-09, don't you need a new cIOS Corp?...

En gros ça sert à rien d'up en 4.0 alors que tout marche très bien en 3.2 x)
Par contre, le fait d'installer la rev-09, faut pas un nouveau cIOS Corp? ...

is that it only works under linux so window xp doesn't recognize the format i'll wait for an ntfs version

for now it's practical only for dumping your originals because you're forced to go through the wii to put a game

A small question I have rev7 and to go to rev9 I'm going to install rev8 first, so the cioscorp v2 that I have will it still work with rev9 to launch backups from the disc channel??????

I had no issues at all! I went from cIOS rev7 to cIOSCorp v2 (so cIOS rev8 which is included in the 21wads) then I just put rev9!

Non, vous inquiétez pas, vous aurez pas besoin de réinstaller le cIOSCorp v2 après !

Je n'ai eu aucun soucis moi ! Je suis passé du cIOS rev7 au cIOSCorp v2 (donc le cIOS rev8 qui est compris dans les 21wads) puis je viens de mettre le rev9 !

personally I haven't touched anything
I went from rev7 to rev 9
still on cioscorp 1 and on 3.2E and everything is spotless
it works great
plus my starfall is still operational

moi j'ai rien touché
je suis passé du rev7 au rev 9
suis toujours cioscorp 1 et en 3.2E et tout est nickel
ca marche super
en plus mon starfall est toujours operationnel

Last question rev9 I install it directly, I don't need to uninstall rev7????
I choose "wad install" seeing as I have the file "IOS36-64-v1042.wad"????

To put it simply, cios rev9 is the missing cios needed to make USB LOADER V1 work.

So whatever your configuration you need it, and it includes cios usb beta 2 (not 3).

There you go ^^

Pour faire simple, le Cios rev9, et le cios manquant pour faire marcher l'USB LOADER V1.

Donc qu'importe ta configuration tu en a besoin, et il comporte le cios usb beta 2 (pas le 3).

To have CIOS USB2 beta3 on your wii, you need to install it after CIOS Rev9 logically ^^
But if you install CIOS USB2 beta3 first then CIOS Rev9, you'll end up with beta2, logically
You'll always have the latest version you install, since it overwrites the version already present on your wii

Pour avoir le CIOS USB2 beta3 sur ta wii , il faut que tu l'installe après le CIOS Rev9 dans la logique des chose ^^
Mais si tu installer d'abord le CIOS USB2 beta3 puis le CIOS Rev9 , tu aura la beta2 , logique
Tu aura toujours la dernières version que tu installe , vu que sa écrase la version déjà présente sur ta wii
